How’s Your LinkedIn Profile Looking These Days?

Some of the most frequently asked LinkedIn questions that I receive pertain to personal profiles.  Some LinkedIn members have recently joined or have established basic profiles and don’t know where to begin – or how to optimize their profiles.

The new LinkedIn profile pages aren’t as intuitive as they used to be.  A variety of opportunities are available for you to develop and market yourself as a brand and even as a prospective job candidate.  Most recruiters conduct candidate searches and background checks on LinkedIn:  does your current profile cut the mustard?  Or is it still back at the starting gate?

Help is on the way!

I am partnering with Meetingjobs to deliver a series of six webinars on social media topics in the coming months.  Addressing a variety of topics from Twitter to LinkedIn to Google+ for meetings, these webinars are designed for those with basic social media experience.  While the programs are being marketed namely to the meetings and hospitality communities, the topics are really broad enough to help anyone who is interested in learning more about – and engaging in – today’s social media platforms.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 24, I’ll be leading a short webinar on “Optimizing Your LinkedIn Profile.”  The program, 30 minutes in duration, will deliver tips for those who are new to the LinkedIn platform or just want to spruce up their profile.  The webinar includes a complimentary private profile assessment to be conducted by the presenter, Lesley Kyle.  Attendees will receive a personalized written review of their current profiles and most importantly – suggestions for improving and optimizing their very own LinkedIn profiles.

Can’t participate in the webinar due to a scheduling conflict?  No worries:  the webinars will be recorded and available for download shortly after the programs wrap up.  For more information and to register, visit the website.
